Hugo Jimenez is from the department of Rivas. From the young age of 18 he started exploring the mines of Leon. He left Nicaragua to study science abroad and went to universities in Cuba and Costa Rica in addition to Nicaragua obtaining his Geological Engineering Degree from both Costa Rica and Cuba with 5 additional Geological degrees from Nicaragua. During his studies of minerals and precious metals, gold was what caught his attention and inspired him to become a Geologist with a specialty focus in volcanos, petroleum, marble, gold and more. Hugo has been awarded multiple certificates for his study of Thermal Minerals and has been mentored and trained by various geological companies from around the world. With his expertise he has played a major role in Nicaragua's mining triangle which consists of 3 major cities; Bonanza, Siuna, and Rosita. Nicaragua is not only home to of one of the largest gold veins in Central America it is also producing nickel & silver.
