CIGARVIXEN invites you to join her on her exclusive trip to Nicaragua. Where you will have the opportunity to learn and experience the essence of cigar making by some of the best hands in world.
The trip will take you to the heart and soul of Nicaraguan cigar culture in the city of Esteli. Once there y you will visit Cigar plantations, factories, and most importantly smoke your favorites stogies in their motherland. You'll visit other areas of northern Nicaragua known for its dense forest, amazing coffee farms and tasty foods. The last part of the trip will take you south, so you can experience some of the amazing lagoons, colonial cities and pacific beaches.
Itinerary
Day 1: ESTELI (D)
Arrive to Managua (MGA) enjoy a fresh and delicious lunch, drink a cold beer or sip on some Flor de Caña Rum while you enjoy your first Nicaraguan cigar. Depart for Esteli located in the northern region of Nicaragua. As we drive through the mountains and pass by the green valleys you will see all the beauty of Nicaragua’s countryside.
Day 2: MATAGALPA (B, D)
Buenos dias! Coffee, breakfast and a cigar. You'll visit some of the best cigar factories in Esteli. You'll have the opportunity to see the cigar making process, and smoke some of the finest puros in the world. After a full day in Esteli, you'll be lodging at the Selva Negra Mountain Resort, built in 1975 up in the mountains of Matagalpa. The resort is located on one of the largest coffee farms next to beautiful hills covered with virgin cloud-forest.
Day 3: MATAGALPA (B, D)
Waking up in Selva Negra is very special. Most likely you'll experience some dense morning fog right outside your rooms, walk to the lake front restaurant for a fresh brewed coffee. During the day you'll visit some of the local waterfalls and natural reserves.
Day 4: LAGUNA DE APOYO (B, D)
Say goodbye to norther Nicaragua and welcome to one of the most magical places in the country. Laguna de Apoyo, discover the flora and fauna surrounding the lagoon and watch for toucans, howler monkeys, rare butterflies and more. Relax at our private water front villa. This lagoon is created from a 200-centuries-old crater, you'll get to relax on lake front hammocks, smoke cigars, sip on Nicaraguan Rum and enjoy the company of great people.
Day 5: LAGUNA DE APOYO (B, L, D)
Beach & Granada Day. You'll visit La Boquita Beach for a Seafood Extravaganza and end your last day in the beautiful and colonial city of Granada.
Day 6: GOODBYE (B)
