ITINERARY:

Day 1 - July 7th – Welcome to Nicaragua (D)

Fly into Managua International Airport where a NicaTravel representative will greet you with a warm welcome and take you off to your first destination in Granada. Enjoy a welcome cocktail by the pool and wait for your welcome dinner out on the Calle Calzada, Granada's main street full of restaurants, bars and nightlife.

Day 2 – July 8th -  GRANADA – Colonial City (B, L)

Wake up and enjoy a fresh Nicaraguan Coffee and breakfast. Then we walk the town of Granada visiting the central park and Cathedral Bell Tower. In the afternoon take a sunset tour of the archipelago of Isletas de Granada, where you’ll taste some authentic island food, see more wildlife and wait for the sunset in this beautiful location.  Once back in Granada you’ll get to enjoy more of Nicaraguan history, culture, music, and a very fun nightlife.

Day 3 – July 9th - MOMBACHO  – Volcano Hike & Zipline (B, S)

Eat a light breakfast as we will be heading to Mombacho Volcano today. First we stop at the Zipline Canopy Tour where you will fly high over the coffee plantation on one of Nicaragua's best ziplines. Then we head up to the top of Mombacho Volcano where you will see some of the most amazing views of the valley, nearby Laguna de Apoyo, the islands we visited the day before and lots of wildlife and plant species. It gets cool at the top so come prepared. Also a good day to bring snacks with you. We will have a light snack along the way and will return to Granada. 

Day 4 – July 10th - OMETEPE – Volcanic Island & Fountain of Youth (B, S)

Wake up to an early breakfast as we head out to San Jorge where we catch the ferry to Ometepe Island. Formed of 2 volcanoes rising out of Lake Nicaragua you will be in awe with the natural beauties. Visit Charco Verde, have your breath taken away as you walk through the gardens of the butterfly farm only to stumble upon the fountain of youth at Ojo de Agua a cool water natural spring where you will want to take a dip so come ready to get wet. On our way back to the ferry make a quick stop at Punta Jesus Maria a thin sand bar extending into the lake. Once back on the mainland we head to the south and arrive at the beach of San Juan del Sur. 

Day 5 – July 11th - SAN JUAN DEL SUR - Remanso & Hermosa Beach (B, S, D)

Wake up to ocean views during your breakfast and get ready for fun in the sun San Juan del Sur style. Before heading out to the beaches we will stop in town and give you some time to walk around and see the shops and bay. Then visit secluded beaches surrounded by natural terrain. Once at the beach relax, surf, or horse back while enjoying the tropical sun. Snacks will be served during the day and the evening is yours to enjoy the soial life - it’s party time!

Day 6 – July 12th - SAN JUAN DEL SUR - Boat Trip & Sunset Cristo Hike  (B, D)

After breakfast enjoy a lazy morning around the house. Mid day we head to another nearby beach Playa Maderas by boat. This beach is famous for surfing and the shark fin shaped rock formation rising from the water. You will be memorized when you see the beautiful Nicaragua coastline from the boat as we pass by hidden coves and virgin sandy beaches which have no road access. Enjoy some fresh fruit or ceviche on a private and secluded sandy beach. As we make our way back to town in the afternoon catch an amazing sunset from the hillside overlooking town and the San Juan del Sur Bay. Enjoy your last nights dinner prepared by our team and a good bye celebration to follow.

Day 7 – July 13th - Hasta La  Proxima! (B)

Start your day with a healthy breakfast and enjoy the last day in Nicaragua!
Depending on your departure time you may have the chance to do some extra shopping around town.
