ITINERARY

Day 1: WELCOME TO BELIZE (D)

Arrive to Belize City where you will be greeted by your guide and driver and taken to the hotel just outside of Belize City, Lamanai Landings Resort. A welcome dinner will be prepared for you this evening to give you a taste of local Belize Cuisine during your orientation and introduction to the team and itinerary over the next few days.  Afterwards hear a special message from the leaders of the TTP Tribe. Welcome to Belize.

Day 2: RIVER SAFARI & PYRAMIDS (B,L)

After an early morning breakfast enjoy a full day. We start with a River Safari as we boat down the New River looking for the ancient Mayan Ruins and Pyramids of Lamanai. Climb to the top for one of the most amazing panoramic views ever and have a moment of silence through a meditative exercise. As we leave the ancient ruins we will pass by the old Sugar Mill and visit a historic and colonial Spanish church before we head back to the city.

Day 3: CAVE TUBING & ZIPLINE (B,L)

Wake up early to get a jump on the day full of activities. After breakfast we head to San Ignacio where you will get to experience Cave Tubing through one of the many amazing cave systems of Belize followed by Ziplining through the trees and over the river. As you float down the river lead by your guide you will see stalagmites and stalactites as you drift through the caves. You will even pass by a small waterfall inside of a large open cavern. As you exit the river have some fun cliff jumping or relaxing next to the water's edge. You will enjoy this day mixed with adrenaline, relaxation and hiking through Belize's natural beauty.

Day 4: CANOEING THE MACAW RIVER (B,L)

Awake to coffee and a traditional breakfast of Fried Jacks with a little Marie Sharp's Habanero hot sauce. One of the great unsung attractions of Belize is the Macal River in the Cayo District. This meandering waterway was one of the ancient Maya’s superhighways, linking urban, trade and ceremonial centres and connecting the interior to the coastal trade routes. After linking up with the Mopan at Branch Mouth, it joins the Old Belize River to carry on down to the coast. For centuries it was a vital part of the Maya Empire and an important source of water, transport, communication, trade, food, hygiene and recreation for the Maya. There will be an option to ride horses for an additional fee if you choose to do so.

Day 5: ST. HERMAN'S CAVE & INLAND BLUE HOLE IN ROUTE TO CAYE CAULKER (B,L)

Wake up early to get a jump on the day full of activities. After breakfast you will get to experience St. Herman's Cave and hear a special message from the leaders of the TTP Tribe. We will also visit the Inland Blue Hole as we transition over to Caye Caulker. A quick 20-30 minute water taxi ride is included. Arrive to Caye Caulker and enjoy this amazing Caribbean Island.

Day 6: SNORKELING SHARK & RAY ALLEY  (B, L, D)

After a morning breakfast enjoy the island beach life, shops, and bars of the town. Hang by the channel and soak up the sun. Mid day gear up for a snorkeling or scuba expedition to Shark & Ray Alley where your boat captain will take you to swim with the sharks and stingrays while feeding them by hand. You will have the chance to swim with sharks, rays, manatees, and some of the most colorful fish species in the world.
